1. How do you make Oil Painting Portraits?
The first step before creating any portrait is to choose the photo to be drawn. Once it’s finalised, we go on to sketching the portrait on a canvas, once approved, we proceed to painting the portraits. It’s a step-by-step process, and we ensure that our clients get an update at each milestone.
2. Who are the Oil Painting Artists?
We work with a selection of the top oil-painting artists from India, who are selected, and onboarded only after scrutiny, and screening. Your paintings are in safe hands, and the artists who make it are trained, and experts at what they do.
3. How much time does it take to make an Oil Portrait?
The process of drawing an oil portrait is layer by layer, and typically takes a week to draw a standard 36×24-inch portrait. For sizes larger than this, the time needed would increase. Once the portrait is drawn, it takes 2-3 days for the paint to dry.
We ship the portraits once it’s approved, and completely dry. However, If you want something made super-fast, we can accommodate such requests.
4. Can you make Oil Painting landscapes?
Oh yes, apart from Handmade Portraits which are sketches of people, we can also make landscapes in Oil Portraits. Infact, anything that comes to your mind can be drawn using Oil paintings.
5. What materials are used for making Oil Paintings?
All oil portraits are made on Canvas, now canvas can be stretched or rolled. After that, the artist sketches the outline and starts painting it using Oil paints, and once it’s ready, a varnish is applied to protect the painting and retain its vibrancy and colours.
6. What is the price of Oil Paintings / Oil Portraits?
The cost of an Oil portrait depends on factors such as – Number of characters, the Size of the canvas, and The detailing on the clothes/background. Typically an Oil Portrait starts at Rs. 5000 for a painting on rolled canvas.
7. Can Oil Portraits be made for Weddings & Anniversaries?
Of course. Most of our clients get an Oil Portrait done for Weddings and Anniversaries. Infact, it’s one of the best ways to preserve your memories forever.
